Biza took her 1st yoga class 6 years ago and thought it was slow and boring. She decided yoga was not her thing. Biza is a cardio junky. She has been teaching aerobics for 5 years, TRX for 3 years and a personal trainer for 3 years, Biza is also an avid runner. She loves to sweat and get her heart pumping. When SPY opened friends told her that she would love it. After arguing that she would not she decided to give it a try. Well, the rest is history. Biza was hooked. Not only was she sweating and getting her heart pumping she discovered that there was much more. It opened her heart. She has learned to control situations that she could not control before just by breathing and not reacting. Stepping back and finding joy in things that are not always joyful.

Emily Bowser

Emily’s first experience with yoga was the class she never attended – she was too scared to walk through the door. The following day she returned and kept coming back day after day. Years later, she is still just as in love with this practice as when she first began. Emily also loves spending time with her family, making art, swimming in the ocean and dancing in her living room.

Lisa Tyson

Apprentice Teacher, RYT 200
Lisa discovered yoga after the birth of her son. In her own words "I was recovering from a knee injury, so I was in need of something physical but also gentle on my joints.  I fell in love with yoga. It felt like my home away from home."
Lisa has a background as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. She graduated from SPY's 200 Hour Teacher Training program in August, 2016.

Kate Doran

Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Teacher, RYT500
Kate started practicing yoga in 1998 to balance out the physical stress of her running habit and the mental stress of working in the software industry. During the years since, she has turned a weekend hobby into her vocation. With more than 1,000 hours of teacher training under her belt, Kate brings a breadth of experience to her teaching.

Cassie Howard

Cassie started practicing yoga in 2008 in her home state of KY in search of healing from equestrian sports related injuries in addition to mental stress and emotional strife relief. Immediately, she found sanctuary and had to keep practicing and learning.

In 2013 Cassie completed her 200hr Hot Yoga Teaching Certification, and realized she loved sharing yoga as much as she loved practicing it on her mat.

Cassie’s practice and education continue to grow daily and her intention is to keep it so. 3 years ago she moved to Savannah and since completed her 100hr Vinyasa Yoga Certification through at SPY in 2017.

Cassie’s favorite thing about practicing yoga is the space she can create when it isn’t easily found. Her favorite thing about teaching yoga is being of service and the experience of being a life long student. In her other roles Cassie is a newlywed, horseman, manager, dog mom, and music lover. We are so happy to have her!

Stephanie Mobley

Certified Baptiste Teacher

Stephanie started practicing yoga one month after undergoing lower back surgery. A lifelong runner, she was worried that the pounding would reinjure her lower back. She had also heard stories that yoga was calming and that sounded pretty nice to a working mother with two small children. Stephanie's passion for the practice gets her up at 5:00 am to practice before she starts her busy day. Stephanie's teaching is steeped in her personal experience on the mat and her passion for serving others.

In just one hour you will stretch your muscles, build strength, find your balance, open your hips, get upside down and enjoy some stillness. You will leave feeling refreshed and invigorated. This class is suitable for all levels - from raw beginners to experienced yogis. This class is heated to 90 degrees.
