Meet Our Teachers

All of our teachers have a passion for yoga that shows up on and off the mat. Each has studied intensively and strives to bring their love for this practice to their students.
Each certified teacher has completed at least one 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program certified by Yoga Alliance. This insures that they are trained in asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, hands-on assisting, anatomy, physiology, contraindications, philosphy, and ethics.
Our apprentice teachers have completed their initial training and are working toward full certifcation.
SPY teachers are committed to continuing education and required to attend at least one teacher training workshop per year.

Stephanie MobleyRYT-200 Certified Teacher Stephanie started practicing yoga one month after undergoing lower back surgery. A lifelong runner, she was worried that the pounding would reinjure her lower back. She had also heard stories that yoga was calming and that sounded pretty nice to a working mother with two small children. Stephanie's passion for the practice gets her up at 5:00 am to practice before she starts her busy day. Stephanie's teaching is steeped in her personal experience on the mat and her passion for serving others.

Christy SoukhamneutApprentice Teacher Christy started her yoga journey after placing the winning bid on a yoga mat and one month of unlimited yoga at a charity auction in 2009. No one was more surprised than she when she actually redeemed the certificate and began her practice. It only took a few classes, and a little encouragement from some amazing teachers, before she was hooked. Yoga brought balance and grounding to Christy's otherwise type A, over-achiever perfectionist lifestyle where everything was a competition and the mantra was "you can sleep when you are dead". Through Baptiste Power Yoga Christy found the perfect blend of power, strength and grace that keeps her coming to her mat day after day.

Adrienne BellApprentice Teacher Adrienne was introduced to yoga in 2004 after the first of three ankle surgeries. She was amazed by the beauty and spirituality of yoga and added a class here and there to her workout schedule. But In 2011 it all changed. Adrienne was bitten by the Power Yoga bug and has never looked back! She loves the hard-core workout that Baptiste Yoga gives to every student, but also appreciates the soulfullness and magnificent flow of the practice.
