Our Primary Non-Profit Partner is Hospice Savannah
With your help, Savannah Power Yoga has been supporting programs at Hospice Savannah since 2011. Our latest partnership with Hospice Savannah is at the Edel Caregiver Institute, which was created to support the needs of caregivers. Caregivers are friends, relatives, in-laws, and spouses – anyone who provides assistance to another, in whatever capacity and whatever their relationship, with no financial benefits. We currently work with ECI to provide caregiver stress relief through yoga and meditation classes for caregivers at the Demere Center on Chatham Parkway. Read more here.
In 2016 we raised $4935 for the Edel Caregiver Institute at our Yoga Relay.
Join us on August 18th, 2017 as we try to double that number!
We also support Connected Warriors
All active duty, veterans, and immediate family are welcome to take our 6 AM Connected Warriors Power Hour class free of charge.
Thank you for your service!
We raised over $11,000 for our causes in 2016
Join us at one of our Community Classes and help us raise even more in 2017!
An important part of deepening our yoga practice is to reach beyond the mat and the walls of the studio and begin to take the insight and space gained from our practice and serve others. Within the yoga tradition, the word for this is Seva: selfless service for altruistic purposes on behalf of, and for the betterment of a Community.
Our $8 Community Classes not only provide the most affordable yoga classes in Savannah, but they also support our local community of students, non-profit organizations, and teachers. Each quarter we take all of the proceeds from our community classes and donate to local organizations.
