Class Descriptions

We offer both Baptiste Inspired Power Vinyasa Yoga classes as well as our Spry Mind+Body classes, which are specifically designed to support healthy aging. Most of the Power Yoga classes are heated to 90 degrees, while our Spry classes are not heated. We have one studio located in Wilmington Island and also offer live classes online via Zoom. Additionally, some donation-based classes are offered in various community locations in the Savannah area. The class name will indicate where the class is held.


 
The Power Yoga classes below are listed in order of challenge. Gentle Power is not heated and is offered at a slower pace. Power Max is heated to 94+ degrees and may include arm balances and a faster-paced flow.

 

GENTLE POWER

This class is designed to move and stretch your body at a slower pace, while still following the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga methodology. If you are looking for an unheated power yoga class without any jumping or fancy arm balances, this is the class for you. This class is not heated. 


POWER BASICS

This class will teach you the fundamental poses and breathing techniques used in all of our Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga classes. If you are new to the practice, looking to fine-tune some of your poses, and/or you want a slower paced flow - this is a great class for you! If you are practicing with us in the studio, this class is heated to 90+ degrees.


POWER HOUR

In just one hour you will stretch your muscles, build strength, find your balance, open your hips, get upside down and enjoy some stillness. You will leave feeling refreshed and invigorated. This class follows the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga methodology and is suitable for beginners and experienced yogis. If you are practicing with us in the studio, this class is heated to 90+ degrees.


POWER TUNES

Every once in a while it's nice to add some music to guide your flow. Join us for a Power Hour class with a splash or more of music! If you are practicing with us in the studio, this class is heated to 90+ degrees.


POWER MAX

If you are looking for a practice that will challenge you physically and mentally, this is the class for you. These 75-90 minutes classes will stretch and strengthen your body, and cultivate balance, following the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga methodology. You will be wrung out and then juiced back up, ready to face any challenge that comes your way. We recommend that you have some familiarity with yoga if you choose this class. If you are practicing with us in the studio, this class is heated to 90+ degrees.




 

Our Spry Mind+Body classes are designed to support yogis of all ages but are especially good if you have osteoarthritis and/or osteoporosis. 
 
SPRY CHAIR

We start this class sitting in a chair, and progress to a series of standing poses using the chair for stability. Half way through we sit back in the chair and finish with some additional poses and a seated relaxation.  This class is not heated. All of our Spry Mind+Body classes are designed to support healthy aging and/or recovery from injury/illness. This class is suitable for brand new students and those with osteoporosis.

 


SPRY CHAIR+MAT

We start this class sitting in a chair, and progress to a series of standing poses. Half way through we get down on the floor and finish the class with a series of reclining postures.  If getting up and down from the floor is challenging for you, we will teach you how to do this both with and without the help of a chair. This class is not heated. All of our Spry Mind+Body classes are designed to support healthy aging and/or recovery from injury/illness. This class is suitable for brand new students and those with osteoporosis.

 


SPRY MAT

Our Spry Mat class begins seated on the floor and progresses through a series of seated then standing poses before coming back to the mat to finish the practice. Students are invited to go to a wall to practice the balancing poses in this class. This class is not heated.  All of our Spry Mind+Body classes are designed to support healthy aging and/or recovery from injury/illness. This class is suitable for brand new students who are comfortable getting up and down from the floor.

 


SPRY MAT TUNES

Every once in a while it's nice to add some music to guide your flow. Join us for a Spry Mat class with a splash of music! Our Spry Mat class begins seated on the floor and progresses through a series of seated then standing poses before coming back to the mat to finish the practice.  All of our Spry Mind+Body classes are designed to support healthy aging and/or recovery from injury/illness. This class is suitable for brand new students who are comfortable getting up and down from the floor.

 


SPRY POWER

This gentle class will introduce a modified version of sun salutations and invite you to move with your breath in a slow flow. All of our Spry Mind+Body classes are designed to support healthy aging and/or recovery from injury/illness. In this class we will get up and down more from the mat than we do in our other Spry classes, increasing mobility, while building strength and stamina. This class is not heated.

 


MEDITATION

Join us for a meditation class designed to guide you to a deeper sense of equanimity and ease in the world. Through the breath work of Pranayama, we will begin to still the inner chatter. Through guided meditations, we begin to learn how to release and free ourselves from negative thought patterns.

 


YOGA NIDRA

Yoga Nidra is the practice of deep yoga relaxation beyond the Savasana that ends most yoga classes. Nidra induces a profound state of receptive relaxation while remaining totally aware and alert throughout the process.

 


RESTORATIVE

This class is offered in Partnership with the Edel Caregiver Institute (ECI). This is a restorative yoga class that is focused on relaxation and quieting the mind. Props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks are used to support the body in total relaxation. Suitable for all levels.



DONATION BASED CLASSES

Donation based classes start at $5 and allow you to pay what you can. You can also use your unlimited class pass to register for these classes - if you would like to make an additional donation please speak to the front desk when you arrive.
