Amanda initially tried yoga through a therapy program as a way to help with anxiety and calm the mind. Years later, she gave the physical practice a shot while living in New Orleans and was hooked. Fact: She had to leave her first heated power class early because it was too much for her. But now 10 years later she is HOOKED on the heat!

When Biza took her 1st yoga class years ago she thought it was slow and boring. She decided yoga was not her thing. She had been teaching aerobics for 5 years, TRX for 3 years and a personal trainer for 3 years, Biza is also an avid runner. She loves to sweat and get her heart pumping. When SPY opened friends told her that she would love it. After arguing that she would not, she decided to give it a try. Well, the rest is history. Biza was hooked. Not only was she sweating and getting her heart pumping, she also discovered that there was much more. It opened her heart. She has learned to control situations that she could not control before just by breathing and not reacting.
What our students are saying:
“Her teaching style is encouraging and challenging.” - Tanisha T
“Biza’s classes are always challenging, and always rooted in foundation. Plus, she keeps it fun!” - Jeanne H

Nikki began practicing yoga some time around 2008 when a coworker told her about a community yoga class at an art museum. Although downward facing dog felt the farthest from a so-called resting pose, she found herself connected to her body and breath in an intentional and non-judgmental way for the first time ever. Nikki continued practicing off and on, sometimes even being encouraged to do teacher training.
The stars aligned in 2015, and she completed her 200hr certification, immediately began teaching, and followed up with the 300-hr certification shortly thereafter, all at Dancing Dogs Yoga Savannah. Nikki is 500-RTY with additional certifications in Bridge to Lotus Flow, Connected Warrior, Thai Yoga Massage, Reiki Level 1, Yin Yoga, Yinpowerment, HIIT Yoga, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Spry Yoga, and probably more that she's forgetting. Nikki has helped lead many Yoga Teacher Certification Programs specializing in Hands-on Assisting. She also teaches Goat Yoga!
When not practicing or teaching yoga, Nikki can be found teaching Art at Jenkins High School, traveling all over the world with her Team in Training friends, and hanging at home with her family and pets. Nikki believes the purpose of life is to lift the spirits of others.

Lauren started a consistent yoga practice in 2018 after the birth of her second child to help balance the stress of a competitive legal career and a growing family. After experiencing the surprising benefits of yoga in her body and mind, she committed herself to sharing her love of yoga. Lauren completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2020 through Dancing Dogs Yoga and then went on to graduate from Savannah Power Yoga's Teacher Training Kickstart Program in 2022. She is excited to join the SPY teacher team and aims to bring intensity, spontaneity, and a lot of fun to her classes. When not on her mat, you can find Lauren at court, wrangling her three young children, or attending concerts with her husband, Dave.
