Cleanliness is and always has been one of our core values. It is also one of the essential practices in yoga, and is called Saucha in the yoga tradition. As you know, we have always mopped after each and every class on our schedule. We are also obsessed with wiping down the doors and keeping our bathrooms sparkly. Yoga studios may be on of the only public spaces where people go to the restroom barefoot!
We will continue to do all of this and want you to know what additional measures we take to make sure you feel safe and healthy in our space.
We recommend purchasing your own mat. However, we do offer mats to rent, if needed. The mats we rent are closed-cell so they are designed to be safe AND they will be washed using CDC-approved sanitizing solutions. Please bring your own mat, effective immediately. If you forget and must rent a mat, they are available for $5 each to cover additional cleaning and wear and tear caused by stronger chemicals. We waive this fee for students on their first visit. Mats are available for purchase in our boutique.
We will continue to launder hand towels and Yogitoes mat towels in hot water with laundry soap. They are available to rent for $2 (hand towels) and $3 (Yogitoes). Towels are available for purchase in our boutique.
We recommend purchasing your own block(s). If you do borrow a community block, please place it in the laundry basket to be cleaned and sanitized. Blocks are available for purchase in our boutique.
We have always laundered the blankets on a regular schedule. Now we will rent blankets for $5 each. This will allow us to wash and dry each blanket after each use. We also have blankets for sale in our boutique.
We offer cooled, lavender towels to each of you at the end of class as a special treat. They are prepared and distributed according to strict sanitary guidelines and you are invited to use them or not. You may even bring your own, if you like! Click here for a video on how to make them.
Please wash your hands with soap and water before and after class.
Please do not come to the studio to practice if you have ANY SYMPTOMS of illness. Read here for the latest info on symptoms of coronavirus. We offer online classes for you to practice at home if you are not 100% sure you are healthy.
