Franessa Stalter

Fran is an authentic, true yogi who embodies the essence of yoga both on and off the mat. She approaches each class with a deep sense of compassion and mindfulness, creating a safe and welcoming space for her students to find strength and explore their practice.
 

In February 2012, after successfully undergoing breast cancer treatment, Franessa began attending a Yoga for Cancer Survivors class two day a week. At that time, yoga helped her physically work her body and gently work her mind. Now, as when she began, yoga provides her with approximate 3,600 seconds (that’s 60 minutes) in which to breath, and breath more, to be in the moment, have faith and not be too hard on herself.

 

Franessa graduated from Spry Mind+Body Teacher Training in 2018. She has a Masters Degree in Leisure Studies from Arizona State University, and is retired from a professional career in municipal parks and recreation working in Illinois, Arizona and Georgia.

Franessa Stalter instructs the following:
  • Donation Based Spry Chair+Mat Yoga | OFFSITE
  • We start this class sitting in a chair, and progress to a series of standing poses. Half way through we get down on the floor and finish the class with a series of reclining postures.
    If getting up and down from the floor is challenging for you, we will teach you how to do this both with and without the help of a chair.

    All of our Spry Mind+Body classes are designed to support healthy aging and/or recovery from injury/illness. This class is suitable for brand new students and those with osteoporosis.

    This class is NOT HEATED. This class is offered in two locations offsite.

  • Spry Mat Tunes | ONLINE
  • Every once in a while it's nice to add some music to guide your flow. Join us for a Spry Mat class with a splash of music! Our Spry Mat class begins seated on the floor and progresses through a series of seated then standing poses before coming back to the mat to finish the practice.

    All of our Spry Mind+Body classes are designed to support healthy aging and/or recovery from injury/illness. This class is suitable for brand new students who are comfortable getting up and down from the floor.

    Our donation based classes start at $5 and allow you to pay what you can. You can also use your unlimited class pass to register for these classes. Please arrive on time as we do not have a front desk ambassador attending the front desk for these classes.
